Meet Nurse Duyen

Hi, I'm Duyen (pronounced like "YouWin")! I'm a nurse, educator, and the founder of PNW Nurse Delegation here in the Portland area. I've been a nurse since 2011, and my journey started in the operating room. I spent three years as a travel nurse, caring for both adults and children, which taught me so much about meeting people where they are. I went on to earn my Master of Science in Nursing in Leadership and Management. Then I spent two years as a Transition to Practice Coordinator, training nurses who were new to the OR, and two more years as a Specialty Practice Leader focused on professional practice, policies, and procedures.

In December 2023, I left the hospital to become a long-term-care community nurse. That shift changed everything for me. I fell in love with health promotion and prevention. My passion is not only treating illness when it happens, but also helping people stay healthy. That passion led me to start PNW Nurse Delegation and become a certified BLS, CPR, and first-aid instructor. Teaching is truly one of my strengths, whether I'm educating clients, training caregivers, or teaching life-saving skills to our community.

Why Education Is at the Heart of My Work

I've seen what education can change. An educated caregiver catches problems earlier. A client who understands their care feels confident instead of afraid. A bystander trained in CPR can save a life before paramedics arrive. Education multiplies, and I'd like to believe that everything I teach one person, they carry on to everyone they care for. That's the biggest impact I can have, and it's why teaching sits at the center of everything I do.

Based in Gladstone, OR, I serve Clackamas and Multnomah counties with nurse delegation services and CPR/BLS/First Aid training. I'd love to connect with you!
